Missed this jam last week, but in keeping with the Spector vibe I've been on as of late, I thought I'd share this amazing video of SF's Morning Benders, doing the first song from the group's upcoming Rough Trade release Big Echo.

The homies at Yours Truly captured the band & some friends at San Francisco's Different Fur Studios. As frontman Chris Chu explains, getting that wall of sound just right necessitated using some of the old man's own techniques, piling a bunch of hip SF folks into a studio and recording this thing mano-a-mono. Those interested in playing spot-the-hipster will notice Girls' Christopher Owens and that dude from Rogue Wave, among others.
