While I Was Out

So I took a break from blogging for awhile, and--naturally--a bunch of awesome shit happened while I was gone. Here's a recap of the last couple weeks in cool stuff:

Video: Sonic Youth live on A>D>D
Here, Pitchfork.tv's garage show brings us Sonic Youth performing some songs from their new record The Eternal, as well as an awesome version of "Schizophrenia," off their Sister LP.

Full show here.

Video: The Dodos - Various Songs Live on Pitchfork.tv
SF's Dodos, who wrote my favorite album of 2008, have another record coming out on Frenchkiss in September, titled Time to Die. Here they are performing songs from last year's Visiter for Pitchfork.tv.

Full set here.

Video: New White Denim - I Start to Run
White Denim have a crazy-assed new video out for the 2nd single from their upcoming Fits LP.

Video: Animal Collective - Summertime Clothes
Animal Collective made a video for that obnoxious--for Merriweather track "Summertime Clothes," which you may have already been confused by when they played it on Letterman.

Here's the boring version being hosted on P4k:

However, this version is 10thousand times better.

New Yo La Tengo - Periodically Double or Triple
Hoboken legends Yo La Tengo's first new song from their upcoming Popular Songs LP is a groovy, motown-influenced number drenched in vibrato organs and fuzzy bass.
