Pitchfork Music Festival '09

The Pitchfork Music Machine marches on! Arguably the largest and most refined independent and obscure media resource on the internets, Pitchfork is expanding their prowess to festival territory. Of course this isn't really so much news--Pitchfork has been producing live events for a while now-- but this year's lineup looks pretty promising. Sadly, the party is in Union Park, all the way over in the capital of the Midwest, Chicago. But hey, how much do you really like music? Come on.

The tentative lineup:

Friday, July 17

Write the Night: Set Lists by Request

Built to Spill
The Jesus Lizard
Yo La Tengo
Tortoise

Saturday, July 18

The National
Pharoahe Monch
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

Sunday, July 19

Grizzly Bear
The Walkmen

Vivien Girls
