Rembeber back when we told you about Black Lips' sub-continental adventure?
Vice was there, and this is what it looked like:
Pt. 1
Pt. 2
Pt. 3
Pt. 4

New Black Lips and Another Interesting Story About Black Lips
Indeed.

Wanted: Popeye (photo c/o Vice)
Hot on the heels of their great sub-continental adventure, Atlanta garage-punks Black Lips debuted some new material today on KEXP.
"Short Fuse," from their impeccably-named upcoming LP 200 Million Thousand, opens with clean guitar jangle and rides on a rubbery bassline for another 3:20 of pitch-perfect southern-fried punk. What's most striking about the new Lips tune is its... well, tunefulness. The latest on the Lips' long road to accessibility, "Fuse" puts the ATL boys' seldom-heard vocal harmonies on display.
It also helps that the hook is really, really cool.
