Former Root Scratch got together a whole bunch'a his buddies for his upcoming Gold Dust LP Loss 4 Wordz. Along with the usual hip-hop incestuousness (Kanye "Gayfish" West, Musiq Soulchild, M.O.P.) comes a welcome surprise: Damon Albarn doing his mournful croon over a spacey Kool & the Gang-flavored beat.



It's great music to chill out to, and if nothing else just whets my appetite for a new Gorillaz or GB&Q record.
