Here we are at the tail-end of 2010. It's been like two years since "beach music" broke and Best Coast is collab'ing with Weezer, Dum Dum Girls are on Sub Pop, and Dustin Payseur's Beach Fossils still kick ass.
the Wild Honey Pie were hip enough to be on-hand at I Guess I'm Floating's CMJ party, and captured the mopey jangle-popsters cutting loose on a new song dubbed "Calyer." The new track continues to deliver on the potential of their early material while flexing a little more of the nuance we heard on their new Captured Tracks 7''.
Also check out the dudes performing "Youth," one of the stronger tracks on their lowkey fantastic debut.
