As if reading from my dream journal, lovely Brooklyn outfit Twosyllable Records is putting out the previously tour-only That Ghost CDR Get It and Get Out as a digital download on November 17. "The Red Bow," the first preview track from the release, mostly eschews the drony bedroom pop of last year's awesome Young Fridays LP for sand-blown psychedelic rock. This is beach music for the Fall, and while it's a sound not a million miles removed from the current crop of lo-fi d.i.y. pop that's been making the rounds lately, the melancholic tone of That Ghost's songs puts them much closer to Thee Oh Sees' acid-tinged psych pop than, say, the Drums' punchy surf tunes.
