While NY noise-poppers Weed Hounds stand apart from the shitgaze crowd mostly for their sweet name and bargain-first-floor production (their Portastudio seems to be able to properly record a cymbal, for one), that's not to say that they don't play their bleached-out well-worn garage punk extraordinarily well.
Recalling he glory days of C86 guitar-fuzz and putting tweeish boy/girl vocals to good work, their four-track demo (which you can download here for freezies) is a straightforward blast of noise-pop goodness, and everybody knows how much well all like that around here.
