Decemberists to Debut New Album Live at SXSW

As if anyone really needed any more reason to go, everyone's favorite maritime-obsessed prog-leaning Pacific-Northwesterners the Decemberists (along with every other band on Earth) will be rocking Austin's South by Southwest Music and Media Conference next month.



NPR has announced that the aforementioned band of engine drivers and chimbley sweeps will perform their upcoming album The Hazards of Love live in its entirety about a week before it drops during NPR's Music Showcase at Stubbs on March 18. Coming along for the ride are My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden and Lavender Diamond's Becky Stark, taking up their roles from the LP's fairytale about being raped by shape-shifting fairies.
